BANYAK perkara sebenarnya boleh jadi mudah jika kita memahami kesusahan orang lain atau sekurang-kurangnya mencuba. Kalau kita mahu orang lain faham akan kesusahan atau masalah kita, begitu juga dengan orang lain.
Betul, setiap daripada kita melalui jalan hidup dan ujian yang berbeza. Maka, ada waktunya kita dilihat begitu sukar untuk memahami kesusahan orang lain, selain hanya mahu orang lain faham apa yang kita lalui.

Justeru yang tidak faham atau tidak mahu cuba faham kesusahan orang lain, sebenarnya senang saja mencari kata-kata mudah. Kena positif, bersabar atau reda. Tetapi bila kena pada diri sendiri, hilang semua kata-kata hikmah kena positif, sabar dan reda itu. Menggelabahnya berlebih-lebih pula.

Bercakap perkara-perkara yang positif atau mengeluarkan kata-kata motivasi, selalunya memang mudah, tapi tak semudah untuk melaksanakannya, apa lagi ketika melalui waktu-waktu sukar.
Tidak kira di tempat kerja, di rumah, hubungan dengan majikan, keluarga, kawan-kawan atau dalam masyarakat sekali pun, boleh saja menjadi konflik jika kita tidak ada sikap untuk cuba memahami kesusahan atau masalah orang lain.
Bila kita tahu, ada keluarga yang susah, hendak beri makan anak-anak pun payah sehinggakan hari-hari terpaksa beri makan nasi dengan kicap, ada antara kita yang sanggup berkata: “Itulah dulu tidak belajar tinggi-tinggi atau dah tahu susah beranak ramai juga atau duit gaji tu jimatlah kalau dah tahu susah.”

Ini adalah antara kata-kata yang saya sering dengar atau baca apabila kesusahan atau kemiskinan sesebuah keluarga itu dibincangkan di sekeliling saya atau dipaparkan dalam media sosial.
Baru-baru ini saya ada terbaca berita dalam media sosial mengenai sebuah keluarga yang susah. Ada beberapa komen mempertikaikan kenapa dalam gambar keluarga itu ada peti televisyen jika betul-betul susah. “Beli tv mampu pula.” Walhal televisyen itu bukan baharu, jenis lama, televisyen kotak yang kecil.
Begitulah sebahagian daripada kita mentakrifkan kesusahan orang. Asalkan ada televisyen, peti sejuk atau boleh pakai telefon pintar, itu dah dikira orang senang apa lagi yang ada kereta sendiri. Walhal orang yang termasuk dalam kategori kemiskinan bandar, punya semua itu.

Terfikir dalam kepala saya ramai sebenarnya yang mengambil sikap tidak peduli kerana yang susah itu bukan dia, keluarga atau saudara mara dia.
Yang lebih difikirkan hanya masalah atau isu-isu berbangkit yang membabitkan diri sendiri dan hal-hal orang lain, pandai-pandailah selesaikan dan bawa diri sendiri.
Inilah konflik yang sering berlaku yang mana yang susah semakin hidup tertekan dan yang senang pula hanya mengharapkan pengertian dan sokongan daripada orang sekeliling apabila dia berada dalam masalah.
