Every region in Malaysia has its own variety of the Malay language. However, there is no denying that the Kelantanese dialect is the most divergent variety of the language. This is probably because the Kelantan-Pattani region is isolated from the rest of the Malay world by mountains and rivers.
Issued by the state government, this currency is said to be in line with the Islamic gold dinar concept. However, the federal government denies its use for legal tender, stating the Ringgit Malaysia is the only legal tender currency in Kelantan and Malaysia as a whole. At the moment, the currency is most predominately used for Zakat payment and marriage dowry.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that for every 100 000 citizens, 29 out of them have the disease. This is highter than the average rate for the whole of Malaysia, which is 13 for every 100 000 citizens.
In 2014, a porn website called Pornhub revealed that Kelantan's capital, Kota Bharu spends the most time on to its website, losing to another east coast city, Kuala Terengganu. The average time spent browsing pornography in these cities were higher than the average time for the whole of Malaysia itself.

Dalam konteks bahasa Melayu, pembentukan kata dipandang sebagai proses mengolah unsur-unsur bahasa tersebut sehingga menjadi perkataan yang boleh diujarkan dan difahami oleh penuturnya.
Adakah Wilayah Di Thailand Yang Berbahasa Melayu?
Menurut Tatabahasa Dewan (1995), terdapat empat bentuk kata asas dalam bahasa Melayu iaitu: (i) bentuk kata tunggal, (ii) bentuk kata terbitan, (iii) bentuk kata majmuk, dan (iv) bentuk kata ganda. Pembentukan kata lazimnya dihuraikan daripada sudut prosesnya. Selalunya kita membicarakan pembentukan satu-satu perkataan itu melalui proses-proses pengimbuhan, penggandaan, atau pemajmukan.
Pengkaji telah mengkaji aspek pemilihan kata yang terdapat dalam Dialek Melayu Kelantan menerusi lagu dikir barat ‘ambo ghaso berkene’ yang tidak terdapat dalam bahasa Melayu Standard.
Bentuk kata tunggal ialah bentuk kata yang terdiri daripada hanya satu bentuk kata dasar yakni tidak menerima apa-apa bentuk imbuhan atau kata dasar lain. Kebanyakan kata tunggal dalam Bahasa Melayu mempunyai potensi untuk diperluaskan dengan bentuk terbitan. Kata tunggal boleh terdiri daripada satu suku kata dan dua atau lebih suku kata. Contohnya adalah seperti di bawah :

Ayat majmuk keterangan ialah ayat yang terdiri daripada ayat induk dan ayat yang lain yang berfungsi untuk memberikan keterangan. Ayat ini menggunakan kata hubung untuk memberikan keterangan. Contohnya seperti di dalam jadual berikut :
Semua bentuk kata nama, iaitu kata nama tunggal, kata nama terbitan dan kata nama majmuk boleh digandakan. Penggandaan ialah proses pengulangan kata dasar sepenuhnya, atau sebahagian sahaja.
Pengguguran berlaku pada suku kata pertama perkataan ‘tidak’ dan suku kata pertama perkataan ‘boleh’. Dalam dialek Melayu Kelantan, perkataan ‘tidak’ dan ‘boleh’ digabungkan untuk membentuk perkataan ‘tokleh’ selepas digugurkan suku katanya.

Terdapat beberapa aspek pembentukan kata di dalam lagu dikir ini. Antaranya termasuklah pemilihan kata, penggandaan dan pengguguran kata. Contoh-contoh yang diberikan di atas sangat jelas untuk membuktikan kajian yang saya lakukan ini menitikberatkan aspek pembentukan kata di samping aspek Linguistik yang lain. Diharapkan kajian ini dapat memberi gambaran lebih jelas kepada sesiapa sahaja yang masih lagi kurang memahami aspek pembentukan kata dalam bidang Linguistik.
